We have now completed a few events and the new soup mixes have been flying out. New Englanders really love their soup. With (10) flavors available it is difficult to pick a favorite though. Today we want to start providing some recipes ideas.
SPUDS 'N CHIVES BAKED POTATO SOUP
1 Pkg Spuds 'N Chives Potato Soup
4 green onions, thinly sliced
10-12 strip bacon, cooked, drained &crumbled, set aside as garnish
11/4 C shredded mild cheddar cheese, set aside as garnish
2 C sour cream, 1/2 to soup, 1/2 as garnish
3/4 teaspoon salt (optional) 1/2 teaspoon pepper (optional)
2/3 C butter
6 Cups Milk
Combine all ingredients in a medium to large pan except the garnish.
*Add milk to your desired consistency AND bring to a boil slowly.
Simmer slowly for 30 minutes. Stir often to avoid sticking. Garnish each bowl with crumbled bacon, shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
Serves Approx: 6-8 Prep & Cook time 30- 45 Mins.
